Please can children have PE kit in school daily. We have quite a few children currently who are missing items of kit every lesson and it wastes learning time trying to find them some. If any parents have any spare PE kit they could donate to the class spare box it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help.
Welcome to the ‘Ash’ class page. We are a busy bunch of brilliant brains, constantly learning new skills and knowledge… and we love coming to school!
Here you can find information about the work we are doing, homework support resources for literacy and numeracy and general class information. This page will be updated frequently and will be able to answer many questions you might have.
Our Teacher is Miss Long and our Teaching Assistant is Miss Bone.
Please look under ‘curriculum- mathematics’ for guidance on the methods your child can use to complete their maths homework if you are unsure. Year four children are using the methods outlined in stage four and five. Please speak with Miss Long if you would like any further guidance on these methods.
Reading at home
We have signed up to an exciting new resource which has lots of free e-books on which you can read at home with your child. Please visit https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/?selLanguage=en&mode=hub and click on ‘my class login’. The ash login details are: username: ashbenson Password: ash4
Could I also please encourage the use of the reading records to record the reading your child is doing at home. It is helpful for us as teachers to see the reading that goes on at home and helps the child work towards their ‘thirty books’ award. Thanks for your help with this. If you have any questions about reading at home or would like a copy of some suggested questions to ask when reading then please speak with Miss Long.
